Well, well, well what have we here dear hacks, is it your nemesis? Is it that duo Darsterdly and Mutley? The caped crusader and his (not camp in any way) sidekick Robin? Beavis and Butthead?….
Nope it’s @cpev and @handolio; HACKBASH IS BACK, Mwah ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaa
I have given these guys a shoutout before, however, and as with Ned’s World, they went quiet for a while but they’ve been vocal again recently and no surprise @handolio’s teddies are flying out of his pram in a Friday rant

I don’t often crow about bands, unless I really think it is worth shouting about them (Counting Crows and The Shins being 2 others)
My friend Wheeze… an aside from the main post
Wheeze (for those of you who don’t know me that well, or haven’t heard me speak about her) is one of my closest friends, if not my closest. She rocks! We have been friends longer than we haven’t (we met early February 1991, shit really almost 18 years Babe?!?) I am counting down the days until she lands at Sydney airport 1 hour after me from Perth, on the 5th of December this year, for a (more than) 2 week road trip in a Wicked camper van!!!! Can’t wait, really can’t wait.
Anyway, she sent me the Vampire Weekend album for my birthday and it is amazing, if you like The Shins (Simon H & Charlie P) then this is so worth a listen; a great album. An amazing album; it is bright, funky and brilliant
So check them out here
In the meantime, 11 weeks and 2 days to go….. tick tock tick tock treacle
It’s Grand Prix weekend and as the Aussies are not big fans (and the obvious time difference) qualifying is shown in the early hours of the morning. Some weekends I set my alarm for 3am and get up to watch, or like tonight it is at 12.30am so I will stay up and watch…. the race is a little more civilised at 9.30pm.
So I thought I would catch up on reading through my friends blogs. As many of you you know from the old nedsworld that I have a soft spot for Hackbash and have (finally) caught back up with the last 2 weeks posts.
One post by Simon reminded me of the sunsets over Brighton, after he posted a photo on the blog
